Former wrestling legend Sid Vicious, born Sidney Raymond Eudy, has passed away at the age of 63 after losing his battle with cancer. The news was first shared by his son, Gunnar Eudy, on social media.
Survived by his wife, Sabrina Paige, Vicious began his wrestling career in 1987 under a mask in Continental Championship Wrestling as Lord Humungous. He later adopted the ring name Sid Vicious inspired by a punk rock musician, and joined both WCW and WWE/F during his career.
Vicious made significant contributions in WCW, most notably as part of the Skyscrapers and the Four Horsemen. After a brief stint in WWE/F as Sid Justice, creative differences led to his departure. He returned to WCW, ventured into the independent circuit, and went on to make his final wrestling appearance in 2017 against Paul Rosenberg in Ottawa.
Sid Vicious was a two-time WCW World Champion, a one-time WCW United States Champion, and a two-time WWE/F Champion. Furthermore, he held titles in various wrestling promotions, showcasing his versatility and impact on the sport.
During his storied career, Vicious suffered a devastating leg injury in WCW, which put him out of action indefinitely and required extensive rehabilitation. He made a memorable return to WWE in 2012 under the name Sycho Sid, where he defeated Heath Slater.
Sid Vicious’ lasting legacy in wrestling is evident in his impressive championship reigns and memorable moments throughout his career. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of a wrestling icon.
