Gunnar Eudy recently expressed his gratitude to fans and shared details about his father’s health in a heartfelt statement following the passing of his father, Sid Vicious.
Sid Vicious, a renowned wrestler, died at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer. Known as Psycho Sid Vicious in the wrestling world, he was affectionately called “Popper” by his family, especially his grandchildren.
In 2016, Sid was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, also known as AFIB, and subsequently received a pacemaker. Additionally, in April 2021, he was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which was attributed to exposure to roundup weed killer.
Despite facing cancer silently, Sid remained active by frequenting the gym, participating in boxing classes, meeting fans, and attending t-ball games for children. Gunnar Eudy described his father as an incredibly strong individual, emphasizing his unique resilience and determination.
Eudy expressed heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support and love from fans, acknowledging the thousands of messages received. He indicated that while he may not have the time to respond individually, he has read and cherished each message, conveying deep gratitude for the overwhelming show of compassion.
