NXT General Manager Ava intervened, appointing Trick Williams as the special referee for Page’s title match against Hendry at No Mercy. When Page tried to attack Hendry, Hendry countered with a move called The Standing Ovation and pinned Page with Trick making the three count. The show ended with Hendry celebrating his victory.
Even after the TV taping ended, the audience continued to sing to Page, who seemed to respond to the crowd’s reaction with feigned frustration. The taping continued for several more minutes, possibly for future YouTube content.
