Pat McAfee has revealed that he will be taking a break from the WWE Raw broadcast to return to ESPN’s College GameDay. However, fans can rejoice knowing that McAfee will be making a comeback to the show on January 5, 2025, when it transitions to Netflix.
In the meantime, Joe Tessitore will be stepping in as the play-by-play announcer on WWE Raw, starting on September 2. At the same time, Michael Cole will be moving back to SmackDown, beginning on September 6. This change will give fans a chance to see fresh faces and hear new voices on their favorite wrestling shows before Raw moves back to the USA Network on September 13.
These announcements promise an exciting shakeup in the WWE broadcast lineup for both avid viewers and wrestling enthusiasts. With McAfee’s temporary departure and the introduction of new commentators, the upcoming episodes of Raw and SmackDown are sure to bring a renewed energy and perspective to the wrestling scene.
