When WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez first realized that WWE viewed her as a star was when she was given the title. She felt that it solidified everything she had worked towards, considering that being in WWE was her ultimate goal. Perez, who was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, held the title for over 100 days after defeating Mandy Rose.
She emphasized that every step she had taken in her wrestling career was leading her to WWE. Perez expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her by WWE and NXT creative head Shawn Michaels. Despite her relatively short time in WWE, she has already participated in two Royal Rumbles, attributing her success to the hard work she has put in since the age of 13.
Perez won her second reign as NXT Women’s Champion earlier this year at Stand & Deliver by defeating Lyra Valkyria. This victory further solidified her position as a rising star in the world of professional wrestling.
