Scott D’Amore, former TNA President, had ambitious plans to host TNA Bound For Glory events in London, England, or Tokyo, Japan during his tenure. He recently revealed these plans on Chris Jericho’s podcast after his abrupt departure from TNA Wrestling.
While discussing his exit, D’Amore mentioned disagreements in business strategies and a vision misalignment with Anthem, TNA’s parent company. His vision included major events in Montreal, Tokyo, or London, but Anthem opted for a Detroit location for Bound For Glory instead.
Despite these differences, D’Amore kept a professional attitude and aimed to host an outstanding pay-per-view event in Vegas before parting ways with TNA. He emphasized maintaining a positive relationship with Anthem and Len Asper, the company’s owner, acknowledging the business nature of decisions made.
Fast forward to the present, D’Amore has launched his own Maple Leaf Pro promotion based in Canada. Their upcoming “Forged in Excellence” event at St. Clair College unfolds as a two-night spectacular on October 19 and 20.
