“NXT” is set to make the move to The CW network starting on October 1, with the first show taking place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. WWE has announced that CM Punk, a Chicago native, will be making an appearance on the show. The following week, “NXT” will be held at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, featuring Randy Orton.
Shawn Michaels, the Senior VP of Talent Development Creative, expressed excitement about the move and Punk’s involvement. He emphasized the importance of creating an exciting card for the Chicago event, mentioning Punk’s enthusiasm to be part of the show. Michaels hinted at the possible presence of other main roster Raw and SmackDown stars at the event.
Michaels mentioned the strong fanbase “NXT” has in Orlando, Florida, but is looking forward to taking the brand on the road. He highlighted Chicago as a fantastic starting point due to its history of hosting great wrestling crowds. While keeping Punk’s role a secret, Michaels confirmed that Punk will play a significant part in the show, along with other surprises.
