The collaboration between WWE and UFC is part of TKO Group Holdings, a venture established by Endeavor following the merger of WWE and Zuffa, UFC’s parent company. The merger saw Vince McMahon selling over $700 million of TKO shares as Ari Emanuel assumed the role of CEO.
Mark Shapiro and Nick Khan hold key leadership positions within the organization, with Dana White serving as CEO of UFC. The UFC Apex, which officially opened in 2019, rose to prominence during the pandemic as it became the primary host for UFC events.
