“WWE NXT” is gearing up for its No Mercy card scheduled to take place in Denver, Colorado on September 1. The latest episode of “NXT” featured Number One Contender’s matches that determined the opponents for Ethan Page’s NXT Championship and Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship. Additionally, Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan put forward a challenge to Wendy Choo. Two other matches were also confirmed for the event by “NXT” General Manager Ava.
– Nathan Frazer and Axiom will have a rematch for the NXT Tag Team Championships against Andre Chase and Ridge Holland, after defeating Duke Hudson and Riley Osbourne in a match that opened the show. Despite facing some issues in previous weeks, Frazer and Axiom seemed to be back on the same page during the latest episode.
– Former Heritage Cup champion Tony D’Angelo is set to take on NXT North American Champion Oba Femi at No Mercy. Femi was confronted by D’Angelo on the show, leading to a challenge from D’Angelo after taking out the No Quarter Catch Crew with “The Family.” D’Angelo managed to lay out Femi with a spinebuster after countering a powerbomb.
These matches were announced prior to the main event of the evening, where TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry faced off against Pete Dunne and Wes Lee for the opportunity to challenge Page’s title in Denver. Stay tuned for more updates as No Mercy draws closer.
