After the recent No Mercy PLE on September 1st, “WWE NXT” came back to Orlando, Florida on September 3 for its usual weekly show on the USA Network. As the debut of “NXT” on The CW Network and the upcoming Halloween Havoc PLE draw near, fans were eager to see The Rascalz vie for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships, Trick Williams taking on Pete Dunne, and Giulia making her debut on American television.
According to data from Wrestlenomics, the September 3 episode of “NXT” attracted an average of 631,000 viewers, showing a 3% increase from the previous week’s 615,000 viewers. This also reflected a 1% rise from the average viewership over the past four weeks, which stood at 624,000. It’s worth noting that one of those weeks “NXT” aired on SyFy instead of the USA Network due to the Summer Olympics in Paris.
Although the overall viewership saw a slight uptick, the crucial 18-49 demographic number remained constant, with the September 3 episode securing a 0.17 rating, the same as the previous week and the trailing four weeks. This positioned “NXT” in the top 10 for all primetime shows on Tuesday night, ranking 10th behind FBI: International on CBS, which garnered a similar rating. Additionally, among all cable primetime programs, “NXT” came in third place, trailing only two hours of FOX News coverage.
Overall, it seems like “NXT” continues to attract a dedicated audience, with consistent viewership numbers and a strong presence in key demographic groups. With exciting matches and new talent debuting, the show remains a must-watch for wrestling fans.
