WWE SmackDown on FOX garnered 2,252,000 viewers and a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic on August 16th. These numbers were slightly lower compared to the previous episode on August 9th, which had 2,269,000 viewers and a 0.64 rating in the key demo. Nevertheless, SmackDown managed to clinch the top spot for the night in the key demo. The show was held at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and saw a total of 14,136 attendees according to WrestleTix.
Roman Reigns confronted The Bloodline once more, with newcomer Jacob Fatu joining in the altercation. The Street Profits also emerged victorious over DIY in a tag team match to determine the next #1 contenders for the tag team titles.
